Inspired by Ace Railgun’s 50 Questions. I have decided to do my own list.
QUESTIONS ABOUT ANIME
1. Who is your favorite male anime character?
Roronoa Zoro from One Piece. Trafalgar Law is a close second and ‘L’ comes in third but Zoro just became my utmost favourite after the ending of Thriller Bark.
2. Who is your favorite female character?
Kellen from Code Geass. She has such an awesome and feisty personality. I can’t find one reason not to like her. I like Erza from Fairy Tail as well. She’s like the female version of Zoro and obviously I love Nico Robin as well.
3. What is your favorite anime soundtrack?
Attack on Titan and Deathnote! I can’t choose between the two…
4. What is your favorite anime opening + animation?
Attack on Titan, the first opening… Guren No Yumiya by Linked Horizon
5. What is your favorite anime ending song + animation?
Attack on Titan, the first ending… Utsukushiki Zankoku na Sekai by Yoko Hikasa
6. What is your favorite anime scene?
The Strawhats burning down the World Government Flag whilst Robin screams she wants to live.
7. If you could meet an anime character who would it be?
Whitebeard! I mean his presence… To stand before him would be totally awesome! And the stories he would tell. He would be like a cool grandfather!
8. What anime character is most similar to you in terms of personality?
I’d say Shanks. He’s a fun loving guy who doesn’t really resort to violence unless needed. He gets along well with children but is also very wise and has a sense of what should have shouldn’t be done. Although we know very little about him, he’s the only one who I think is like me.
9. What is your favorite thing about anime?
The awesome plotlines and character development.
10. What is your least favorite thing about anime?
Excessive fan service… I think it should be optional. I don’t watch anime for fan service so yeah… That!
11. Who are your favorite anime couple?
I haven’t watched much in terms of romance so this is difficult. I think I’ll go with Rukia and Ichigo. They look quite cute together.
12. Who is your favorite anime animal?
Pikachu if it counts? or Bepo from One Piece. I know he’s not a pet but still, he’s technically a Polar Bear.
13. What anime would make a good game?
Sword Art Online obviously… I mean the whole concept is awesome and I really want to play that game.
14. What game would make a good anime?
Assassins Creed. Think about it… Moving through time with the stories of these awesome guys! All related to one guy in the future which would be the continuing story. He evolves as a person as he learns about his past lives. A bit like the Avatar.
15. What was the first anime you ever watched?
If Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh count then it was them but otherwise it was Code Geass.
16. Do you think you’ll ever stop watching anime?
I don’t think I will. There is no reason not to.
17. What is your favorite genre of anime?
Shounen, Fantasy, Psychological
18. What is your least favorite genre of anime?
Yaoi, Yuri… Not really fond of that. Don’t really fancy Mecha either although I did enjoy Gurren Lagan and Code Geass.
19. Are you open about watching anime with people you know?
Yes! Otaku and Proud! I tell everybody.
20. Have you ever been to Japan?
Nope. But I would love to one day…
21. What anime was the biggest let down for you?
Sword Art Online, the second half of the Season… It wasn’t very good. Quite disappointing to be honest. That’s the only one that springs to mind.
22. What anime was better then expected?
Code Geass… I never realised Anime could be so good. I had no expectations and it turned out to be so awesome. Considering it was what introduced me to anime… It really got me.
23. What is the best anime fight scene?
Rob Lucci vs Monkey D. Luffy!
24. Who is your anime waifu?
I’m married… So does this count as cheating?
Its a difficult one… Never watched many romantic anime. The only girls that come to mind are Asuna from SAO and Rukia from Bleach… Also Kallen from Code Geass and Nico Robin.
I think I would go for Nico Robin. I’m totally a sucker for the damaged types and Nico is the most damaged of all. She deserves some happiness in life.

26. Most Embarrassing moment?
I’ve got too many to name but I did once try to Kame-hame-ha a guy in my class. And I was like 12 years old at the time.
27a. Can you drive?
Yes. Ever since I was 18.
27b. Do you own a car?
Yes. A Fiat Punto… My second car. My first car was also a Fiat Punto. They serve me well.
28. Are you mature?
I have been told that I am, although I do have a childish side in me that I love to bring out but I am naturally wise and mature being the eldest of 5 siblings.
29. What year were you born?
1990
30. Do you prefer cats or dogs?
Cats… Because all the Dragon Slayers have one. And I’ve had a cat before… And I’ve never been chased by a cat where I feared for my life.
31. Describe yourself physically.
Average height, 5’10”. A bit unfit being ever so slightly over-weight. I have like a BMI that bounces around the 25 mark. Sometimes up, sometimes down. I’m trying to get in shape. I have always but recently joined the gym so a bold move from me. I have dark skin, black hair and dark brown eyes.
32. What would you name your first child?
I would love to name my daughter Arya if I ever had one. That’s the only name that I have on my list. Obviously named after Arya Stark from the Game of Thrones.
33. What is the worst injury you have ever had?
I’ve never really injured myself where I’m damaged my body in a serious way. The worst I’ve done is a deep cut that has left an area where hair doesn’t grow on my left eye-brow. Injury occurred as a child. And I’ve sprained my ankle a few times. That’s about it.
34. What is your worse habit?
Procrastinating and forgetting things.
35. Do you drink or smoke?
Never have and never will… I do drink the occasional energy drink but that’s about it. I even stay away from tea and coffee… I do love Pepsi but I try to refrain from drinking it when I can.
36. Do you have a tattoo?
Nope. I think they’re cool but I would never get one. Not worth having your body forever tarnished.
37. Are you a morning person or a night person?
Morning… I’m not fully functioning at night although I do sometimes stay up late when there is something going on in my mind. Otherwise I like to sleep when I get tired and wake up early.
38. Have you ever slept past midday
I don’t think I have to be honest. Might have done but I am not one to sleep in. I’d rather get up on do something…
39. Do you regret anything?
Everything I have done, I have done for a reason. Sometimes you make mistakes but you learn from those mistakes. I like to live without regret. Would I like to go back and change a few things? Hell yeah… who wouldn’t but I don’t think it’s a wise thing to do because those mistakes are what make me the man I am today.
40. Can you count the number of friends you have on one hand?
Nope. Does that mean I am popular? Or do I just think of too many people as friends?
41. Do you wear glasses?
Yes. Since I was 15. I think they make me look rather dashing smart
42. Are you a picky eater?
Not too much but I am a foodie and I do like having good food.
43. Would you die for someone?
I love life and I am shit scared of death but after watching so many hero death moments, I think I would do it to feel that awesomeness for that moment… On a serious note, if living without that person is not worth it, then I would rather die in my attempt to save them.
44. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Only one? But Superman has sooo many… This isn’t fair… Oh well, I would like to have the power of illusion. Like full on mess with people’s minds without any limits. I could make people see things and influence them through it. Think Loki but on a whole another level. I know there are many awesome powers out there but this is the one that would fit me best. I could have fun with it and teach people lessons.
45. Do you believe in the supernatural?
Yes! I most definitely do… Like 100%… Sam and Dean have convinced me!
But seriously… I believe in Angels, Demons, Heaven and Hell. But I also believe not all Demons are evil. They’re just another race like humans and not all humans are good. So yeah, that’s how I see it.
46. Would you rather be rich or famous?
Famous means being in the spotlight and I’m not the spotlight person. If I could be famous and remain anonymous, that would be great. I don’t want fame to ever get to me and I don’t think it’s for me considering how shy I can be. I wouldn’t mind being rich. I think I could use a lot of money in the right way.
47. Have you ever committed a crime?
No. *looks around with a guilty look on his face*
48. Time Traveler or Ghost?
Time Traveler! Most definitely! Imagine that… Getting the chance to travel through time… Amazing!
49. Does someone have a crush on you?
I don’t really know. I heard there were a few who did but now that I’m married I don’t really think so… xD
50. Are you in a relationship?
Yes! I am very much in love and happily married. (* ^_^ *)

50 questions…woah XD I may get around to doing this some time but for now congrats on getting through it! I’ll probably change the anime questions to include visual novels though.
I agree that fan service is very limiting when it comes to anime. There’s nothing more awkward than when fan service pops up all over the place when you’re watching something with your partner. However, I also think that more risqué jokes can be hilarious so i’m not sure where to draw the line.
I love MMOs so SAO is also something i’d love to play. I’m interested that you didn’t like the second season because I much preferred it over the first.
I also neither drink nor smoke, so good job on that!

A lot of people thought the second season wasn’t very good. It just dragged compared to the first… And it was all about rescuing Asuna. So we hardly got to see the two together. I prefer seeing Asuna as the independent girl rather than a helpless prisoner.
It was different and it wasn’t bad but the first part was better. In fact, I would have preferred having 5 seasons all based on the first one.
And yeah, you should definitely do it. It’s pretty awesome. I enjoyed myself. Wish I could do another with different questions. Makes you think about what you like…

While I thought switching between the two games was a little jarring and unnecessary, the second season was a lot more plot-focused whereas the first contained a lot of unrelated episodes. I suppose I didn’t feel as much of a connection to Asuna as many did, so her being imprisoned didn’t matter so much to me. I probably cared more about Yui’s relationship with Kirito/Asuna than Asuna’s relationship with Kirito. Having said that, Asuna being rendered helpless makes it so much easier to hate the villain in the second half, which is a plus for me.
I agree that 5 seasons in one game would have been a better move, however.

I can understand your point of view… Yui was an interesting character. I did however like Asuna and Kirito’s growing relationship. It developed over time and I think that was pretty cool.
The villain was really evil… Could really hate him and I guess Asuna being helpless helped in that way.
