It’s New Year’s Eve for me… Living in the UK and all so I’m waiting upon the New Year to arrive. Knowing that certain parts of the world get to see the new day before me, I thought to myself; why not celebrate with those that get to celebrate it early through my blog.
It started after talking to Jun and Shaina, our newest recruits at Sleeping Geeks, and they mentioned they were on holiday in different parts of the world so they would experience it at different times.
This got me thinking… why not write about how different part of the world are celebrated?
So for the next 48 hours or so, until the New Year’s celebrations don’t end, we will be posting about how this joyful day is celebrated in different parts of the world so that we can all celebrate it together.
How wonderful right? Come on, stop being a Scrooge. It’s a nice thought… Maybe a little too nice but I’m in a good mood today so it’s a good enough excuse to spread the joy.
The New Year has already arrived for the Kiwis and the Ozzies. Those lucky bastards always get everything first… They won’t be smiling when Judgement day comes… That’s when we will have the last laugh… MUHAHAHA!!!
So keep your eyes posted on Sleeping Geeks! We are celebrating the New Year fashionably so no sleeping geeks, not until the New Year arrives.
For those of you who are currently in the Year 2014… HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! For those of you who are reading this from the future… I envy you and I wish I was in your place… You live in my future and your present… How amazingly awesome!
It’s 2014 here in Singapore now! Happy New Year! 🙂

Wow! Singapore! Happy New Year my Otaku Friend… How is it celebrated in Singapore? Do they do anything special like jumping into a frozen lake whilst hugging a tree trunk? xD

LOL “jumping into a frozen lake whilst hugging a tree trunk”? That sounds strange but fun. Sadly, it’ll be the end of the world if there’s a frozen lake in Singapore since it’s forever summer here. XD Instead, I basically watch TV for live performances at Marina Bay, the countdown then fireworks. Too bad we don’t have any special traditions for celebrating the New Year.

Well, that’s still good enough. I don’t think you need to be associated with such weird traditions…. LOL

That’s a shame… Having said that. I just enjoyed the fireworks and spent the rest of my time in bed writing and reading about the New Year. An hour before me eh? Lucky you… Where do you hail from?

I’d never heard of it before to be honest. Right between Spain and Morocco. Interesting… Never knew a British colony existed there. Nice!
