My New Years Resolutions 2014

This is my first New Year blogging. Normally I don’t write my resolutions down. Just keep them floating in my head. This isn’t usually the best of ways because my resolutions don’t last very long. This time… This time, things are going to be a little different. You see, I shall write it down in the form of a blog for all to see. Now I have no choice but to make sure I stick by my promises that I make to myself, right here in front of all that are reading this.

So I pledge the following:

This is an epic battle that will take place on a daily basis between me and the evil genius who developed the Procrastinator; Mr. Procrastinate himself.

I will actively battle my addiction to procrastinating. I have a very bad habit of wasting my day doing pointless activities, such as browsing the most remote and forsaken corners of the web, reading up on something I don’t even care about.

So I’m going to get my priorities straight, plan my day out and then review how well I did… That should help a little.

I know this is used by many and everybody wants to get in shape. I did too but not in a serious way. Just like a thought in the back of my mind. Basically, I’m going to cut down on snacks. I love snacking and I do it waaaay too much. I am a chocaholic/sugarholic. I need my constant supply of sugar through-out the day.

You could say, “I’ve got a bit of ‘L’ in me…”

Considering there are so many people in my family that are diabetic, I think I should seriously consider my lifestyle.

Also, for the first time ever I joined the gym. Now I just got to start going there and making sure my money is going to good use.

Going to use this picture of Uncle Iroh as an inspiration.

Also this image should do the trick to remind me…

Last year was a hectic one. I was failing my training to become a pharmacist, I was studying for my Masters and I got married so didn’t really have time for much. But this time… This year… It’s going to be about Anime! I will watch more anime. Got a lot of catching up to do, a lot of classics to watch and I’m just going to Otaku hard!

If you got any suggestions, feel free to throw them my way! I will try to fit as many as I can into my 2014 window.

The first ones that I am going to finish watching are:

  • Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
  • Hunter x Hunter
  • Haijimme No Ippo
  • Gurren Lagan

I started watching them but because of the above mentioned, I had to stop… But I plan to restart this year.

Others that I need to start are:

  • Kuroko No Basuke
  • Magi
  • Cowboy Bebop
  • Samurai Champloo
  • Steins Gate
  • Berserk

For the past two years, I have vigorously involved in watching American TV Shows. I mean, I honestly watched many. Like I started stuff that was several seasons ahead and I caught up. This year, I have less to catch-up on and this will give me more time to watch all the amazing movies I have missed. Honestly, I couldn’t count 20 movies from 2013 that I had watched. I should be watching at least one every fortnight.

I’ve just entered the drug trade and I want to make some quick cash this year. I’m not talking about hustling on the streets of Detroit or Brooklyn. I’m talking about working behind a counter in a pharmacy. I’m a legal drug dealer, all dressed in a shirt and tie.

I’ve been studying for 5 years in university which means I got debts that I need to get rid of. In between juggling all of the above, (I guess not procrastinating will help) I shall try to make this year a profitable one.

Wish me luck!

  1. Out of your anime series, I can’t recommend Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood enough, along with Berserk and Cowboy Bebop 🙂 Great selection you’ve chosen!

Good luck throughout the year, sticking to them resolutions!

        • I think that says a lot about it for me. I actually recommend it to other people as a good anime although I haven’t watched. It is one of the only one’s my sister has seen. And I’ve only recommended her a handful and she really enjoyed it as well. About time I watch it myself.

  2. Loved this – especially the ‘Keep calm & watch anime’. My son would love that 🙂

Good luck – you’ve got a lot of goals. To no longer procrastinate would be ENORMOUS for me. Why we do, I don’t understand. I try, I try…

    • I wish I knew how but unfortunately, life is difficult to understand and one of those mysteries is procrastination.

Well, we can both work on it together. I even spoke to another blogger, ( about creating an online blogging club called Procrastinators Anonymous and talk about our battle with Procrastination.

    • Honestly. I just love sugar! Not as much L obviously… But still, I do get cravings.

It’s going to be difficult but hopefully 2014 will be a fruitful year. Do you get it, fruitful… as in full of fruit. Gong to cut out chocolates and sweets with fruit. A different kind of sugar but a healthier option.
