FIFA Team of the Week – International Duty

No premier league this week means only one thing. International Duty.

I’ve taken some time out to watch some of the more interesting clashes and here are my 11.

totw international duty

Arlauskis had a fantastic game against the Swiss. Some unbelievable saves. The own goal really marred his contribution, Looks as though he isn’t on FUT. Will we see him next year in one of the bigger leagues?

Juanfran terrorised the right side of the pitch. Making very  decisive runs and assisting twice in Spain’s 3-0 victory against Belarus.

Paul Papp scored two goals in the space of 5 minutes against N. Ireland. Fantastic all round performance .

Daley Blind wasnt troubled much in their match up against Latvia, but when he was he showed his class and kept a clean sheet for his side. He was playing in the back four despite his card suggesting otherwise.

Franz Burgmeier fired in a right goal from a free kick. You all know how much I love free kick goals.

Sergio Busquets was not challenged defensively throughout the game but his low powerful drive was unstoppable to net him a goal.

Arjen Robben was on form against a weak Latvian side. Signature Robben as he darted in and out scoring 2 and assisting another. Just a joy to watch.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar paired up with the likes of Robben and Van Persie found it simple as he netted two himself. 6-0 is nothing to be ashamed of Latvia.

Xherdan Shaqiri was spectacular throughout the game. Making fantastic through passes only for his strikers to miss. He took matters into his own hands and netted two for himself. The second goal was a joy to watch as he back heeled it into the goals.

Danny Welbeck seemed to be in the scoring mood against Slovenia. Keeping England’s win ratio at 100%.

Nicklas Bendtner needs no introduction. Scoring two for Denmark as they took on Serbia.

The next set of international qualifiers will be March 2015. Hopefully next week I can continue with the BPL.

Thanks for checking out my post. See you soon
