Hey guys, this is Bronze Panic bringing you FIFA 15 BPL Team of the Week 8. This weeks Barclay’s premier league was pretty slow going. No jaw-dropping moments to captivate us here but some run of the mill performances by some stand out players. Chelsea league leaders dropped two points against a solid, well drilled Sunderland and Man City clawed back at the top spot by beating the Saints away. While at the bottom of the table Leicester City suffer a loss to QPR in a must-win game for both teams.
Here’s my eleven.
Simon Mignolet has been out of sorts recently but this week he managed to pull himself out. He made some crucial saves to allow Liverpool to hold on to a 1-0 victory.
Glen Johnson another out of form player who has been heavily criticised. This week his fortunes turned for the better. Seeing his opportunity to put his head among the boots to score the winner.
Chris Smalling a few weeks back got a red in the Manchester derby returned to some form keeping a clean sheet albeit against Hull. He also netted the first goal with the help of goal line technology. Will he be a consistent choice for Lois Van Gaal?
Vincent Kompany solid as always. Man City’s wall has Southampton struggled to get one past him.
Gael Clichy scored his first ever goal for Man City. He, along with Kompany had a great game.
Lee Cattermole solid in front of the back four against a strong Chelsea attack. Their well drilled defence forced the likes of Willian and Oscar to taking long shots. Great 0-0 draw for Sunderland.
Bojan was a real creative spark for Stoke. He played several through balls to team mates and had some great chances. One such strike hit the wrong side of the post.
Christian Eriksson has been performing regularly for Spurs. This week his cool calm finish really put him into this 11.
Wayne Rooney scoring form continues. A good strike from outside the box, neatly tucked into the corner. Scoring in the last two games for both club and country he is in immense form.
Danny Welbeck is always known as hard working. This week he was switching up on both left and right sides of field. Although Wenger has him playing on the sides supporting the striker he still had the scoring instinct to get a good leap and score the winner for Arsenal.
Robin Van Persie was another player on a poor run. In his previous game against Arsenal he was woeful. This week however an assist and classic RVP goal just unstoppable. Is this his return?
A lot of people in this weeks 11 are players who are returning to form, I’m guessing the next few weeks are going to be very interesting.
Stay tuned for my next 11.
