The moment all Cumberbatch and Marvel fans have been waiting for is finally here. We get our first glimpse of Benedict Cumberbatch dressed in his Doctor Strange attire released by the team of Entertainment Weekly. He’s wearing a cool blue tunic, an amazing red cape, a pendant around his neck and he’s even got a goatee. Oh my Cumberbatch!

It was announced earlier this year that the Sherlock star had been cast as the leading actor in Marvel’s latest addition to their superhero collection. The movie itself is scheduled for release in November 2016 (way too long right?) and will also feature Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton in various roles.

Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing the character, Doctor Stephen Strange, who transforms from a self-centered surgeon to a world-protecting sorcerer. He is sure to play an important role in the Marvel Universe and should feature in the Infinity War saga that will continue to unfold on our screens over the next four years. Considering there are still some infinity stones to be revealed, we might see one in Doctor Strange.Doctor Strange Movie 2

What do you guys think of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange? Do you think he’s pulled it off superbly or is there still a bit lacking?

  1. As both a Sherlock and MCU fan I am having trouble keeping it together. What even? This is too good to be true. It’s like the nerds cast this. My mind is blown in the very best of ways.

Can’t believe I didn’t hear about this casting until now. I need to watch Screenrant more closely.
