We all have that one special person that comes into our lives, a random coincidence or perhaps it’s just pure bad luck. Would it have been better to not have met them and carry on living the way we have always known to live? Would that satisfy you? Heck life would be a lot simpler wouldn’t it…
Just when you finally get to understand the purpose of your existence, you’re on track, both fighting towards your goals and dreams, you have the perfect friend/companion right by your side…
BUT suddenly! Without any warning, they have to leave…
Your entire spirit is dampened with the regret of not being able to prevent it
Some cruel test the universe conspired up, in order to help you develop; it’s just poor taste to be frank.
I still hear his final words echo today…
“Don’t forget. Believe in yourself. Not in the you who believes in me. Not the me who believes in you. Believe in the you who believes in yourself”
KAAAAMINNAAAAAA!!!!!
AHEM! clears throat
LISTEN UP NERDS! “Who the hell do you think I am!?”
I’m a detective! I witness fictional character deaths all the time! It’s my job!
If you geeks haven’t watch or read Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann,
Then I implore you do so!
You will not come across a story like this one; the entire series is just burning with pure passion! That fire that resides in the heart of every single man, the whole series is just oozing with a burning will, the will of a man, the soul of a man!
The plot kicks off with a 14 year old boy, Simon, digging underground in the village of Giha. Seems like mankind has adapted to live and survive under the surface of the planet. Whilst digging in order to expand his village he discovers a small drill that reacts to his touch.
Simon then bumps into Kamina, also known as Aniki. Kamina forces Simon to join him and head to the surface… from there a great tale will explode in your face!
I mean, have you ever heard of a finishing move like this one..
“Who-the-hell-do-you-think-I-am-kick! Hands-off-my-beloved-little-brother-puuuuuuuunch!…Finishing move! Perfect combustion of manly souls cannonball attaaack!”
Get you geek on! And go witness something amazing!
Personally, I love Gurren Lagann it has to be one of the greatest anime ever created.

Hopefully “Kill La Kill” will live up to those high standards, It features a lot of the same “art style” and “crazy plots”.

Yh I started watching it
First ep was good then kinda became more Whacky, generally don’t enjoy female protagonist storylines
There are some exceptions tho

A lot of people rave about Gurren Lagann, but thus far I have only watched the first episode. It seems okay, but overly whacky.

Compared to FLCL or kill la kill
It’s not that whacky, But I suppose you do need to get use to the art style.
The anime is great, it’s full of passion & overly animated dialogue which is hilarious and same time pure bad ass!
This is a anime you certainly need to get down
It’s a totally diff feel to the usuals.

Seeing others talk about TTGL brings me great joy. Personally one of my favorite anime to date. Even the newer shows just don’t have the charisma this show has. Not to mention, the OST is one of the best I’ve ever heard.

Theres the common theme like mecha etc and kill la kill had a similar art work and animation to Gurren, BUT there is NO ANIME amazing as this one!
