Right to health
Is access to medical care something that governments should provide, or is it better left to the private sector? Are there drawbacks to your choice?
Healthy and Happy
Ok this kind of a post is not my cup of tea because I absolutely despise politics of this day and age. Medical care is something that should be provided to every human being on this planet! The distribution of wealth is pure insanity and sure as hell should not be the reason why one person should receive better medical care than another. You simply cannot put a price on a persons worth and those that do are fools.
One may argue that there isn’t enough money to provide that kind of service.. We got voted into wars of terrorism against the majority of the peoples wishes, we seem to have the adequate finances for the slaughter of civilians and soldiers. No matter be it prime minister or president who pretend to care for the people they represent, yet choose to go down a road where they sacrificed the lives of innocent people on both fronts. Sitting happily in their big, warm and cosy houses. Safe from nature, poverty and illness. While we toil through our days, working to make ends meet. The hard way, the honest way and the only damn way we would want it to be.
My mum knew a guy who broke his back on a skiing holiday in Europe (Switzerland I think), and was literally left outside the hospital for hours until his dad wired the money to the doctors to pay for his care.
That stuff’s dispicable.
It’s definitely something we forget we take for granted in the UK. I was shocked when I learned as a kid how many places actually only have private health care. Deinitely something that needs to change. America’s unlikely to do it though because, from what I’ve seen, a lot of policy is decided on by money
.
Good post though, and I completely agree. The idea of people being helpless and unable to care for themselves and their family really grates me.

It’s a shame things are like this in such an era.. In a world where there is a surplus of food yet millions are starving. In a world where 90% of the wealth of the world belongs to something like 5-10% of the population, yet millions live in poverty. In a world where for many diseases, we have vaccines, yet thousands of people NEEDLESSLY die! It makes me so angry, feel so helpless. The world is such an ugly place right now
